Augusta Republicans Endorse Pastures District Candidate Pam Carter

VERONA, Va. – Augusta County Republicans unanimously voted Tuesday night to endorse Pam Carter, candidate for the Pastures District of the Board of Supervisors.

“Pam’s conservative values, commitment to fiscal responsibility, investment in public safety and supporting volunteers, and enhancing opportunities for economic growth and development resonate with the Republicans of the county and the district,” a spokesman for the committee said.  “We look forward to working together to elect Pam in November.”

Pam is challenging the 22-year incumbent, Tracy Pyles.  She and her supporters believe that it’s time for fresh plans and better representation in Pastures, and have had an overwhelmingly supportive response since they began campaigning.

Pam responded to the endorsement, stating, “I’m honored by this endorsement and look forward to working with the Republicans towards achieving our common ideals for government.”

Pam Carter is an RN with administrative and managerial experience in negotiating with local Boards to enhance programs and decrease county costs.  This has afforded Pam the opportunity to tone her leadership skills, and practice budget oversight and coordination and allocation of resources.  Pam is also an online teacher at Mary Baldwin’s Murphy Deming College of Health-Sciences, a position which has cemented her respect for the educators of our county.  Pam and her family live in Pastures.  Her website can be found at
