A native of the Shenandoah Valley, Ellen knows the value of hard work— a principle that has been at the core of her life from an early age.
After graduating from Fort Defiance High School, Ellen embarked on a successful career in the banking sector, working with several local financial institutions. She dedicated her professional life to supporting small businesses and facilitating their growth. Most recently, Ellen served as a Credit Officer at Farm Credit of the Virginias, where she played an essential role in helping farmers expand their operations, strengthening the local economy and fostering community development.
In Richmond, Ellen has emerged as one of the most effective Republican voices in the General Assembly. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, she has been instrumental in advocating for the needs of the 36th District and the Shenandoah Valley, ensuring the strategic allocation of the Commonwealth’s resources. Additionally, she continues to advocate for better health care, lower taxes, support of our law enforcement officers, our children’s education, and our conservative values.
Ellen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, graduating cum laude from Averett University and the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Ellen takes great pride in her roles as a devoted mother and grandmother.
