Senator district 2: Mark obenshain

Mark Obenshain has represented the citizens of the 26thDistrict since 2003.  The 26th District includes the City of Harrisonburg, part of Rockingham County, and all of Page, Warren, Rappahannock, and Shenandoah Counties.  Due to redistricting, beginning in 2024, he will represent the 2nd Senate District which includes parts of Augusta County,  the City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham, Bath, Highland and Page Counties.  He serves on the Judiciary; Transportation; Commerce & Labor; and Agriculture, Natural Resources & Conservation Committees in the Senate of Virginia.  He was the Republican nominee for Attorney General in 2013.  Mark is the founder of the Obenshain Law Group, a statewide litigation firm based in Harrisonburg which focuses on tort, probate and commercial litigation work.   He received his undergraduate education from Virginia Tech and his law degree in 1987 from Washington & Lee.
